Events not directly sponsored by the WNP may appear here and redirect members to the appropriate registration pages. The basic training for the Wyoming Naturalist Program includes 14-16 virtual classes and a three-day in-person field training.

Important Annual Dates

First Wednesday in February - Basic Training begins for the new cohort.*

Third weekend in May - Outdoor Weekend for the new cohort.

Third weekend in September - Annual meeting for all cohorts.**

Third Wednesday in October - Registration opens for the next cohort.

December 31st - All volunteer hours are due for all cohorts.

December 31st - All advanced training hours are due for cohorts in Year 2+.
Hold these essential days each year for events appropriate for your cohort.
*Unless February begins on a Wednesday.
**Fourth weekend when September has FIVE weekends.
