Join the Waitlist!

Registration for the current cohort has closed, but joining the waitlist will ensure you receive prompt communication when the next cohort registration opens. If you are an existing cohort member and trying to create an account, use the "Naturalist Login" at the top of the page (or in the Menu on mobile). Each new cohort begins on the first Wednesday of February and meets weekly for 14-16 weeks on Zoom at 6 pm.


See the calendar and important dates for the full annual schedule. Registration for those on the waitlist opens on the third Wednesday in October.


***The required in-person field training occurs the third weekend in May.

Wyoming Naturalists Registration Form

Please read the Wyoming Naturalist Program Handbook and Policies before filling out the application. This is a competitive application process, and the registration will close at 50 registrants or by 12/1. Please be thorough in your answers. Incomplete applications will result in rejection from the application process.

Important Annual Dates

  • First Wednesday in February - Basic Training begins for the new cohort.*

  • Third weekend in May - Outdoor Weekend for the new cohort.

  • Third weekend in September - Annual meeting for all cohorts.**

  • Third Wednesday in October - Registration opens for the next cohort.

  • December 31st - All volunteer hours are due for all cohorts.

  • December 31st - All advanced training hours are due for cohorts in Year 2+.​
